Convention Standing Committees

Each of the three standing committees has close to 200 members, more than 3/4ths are elected by state (or territory) convention delegates and the rest nominated by the DNC chairman [PDF].

determines and resolves questions concerning the seating of delegates and alternates to the Convention responsible for drafting and recommending the Platform

Note: Platform Drafting Committee is "responsible for the drafting of the report of the Platform Committee under the direction and with the approval of the full Committee."

recommends the Permanent Rules of the Convention, the Convention agenda, the permanent officers of the Democratic National Convention, amendments to the Charter of the Democratic Party of the United States, and resolutions...

Section VII of the Call for the 2024 Democratic National Convention details the three standing committees over almost six pages.  Each Committee starts with a base of 162 members casting 158.25 votes elected by each state's (or territory's) convention delegates.  Co-Chairs and 25 PLEOs are nominated by Chairman Harrison and ratified by the DNC Executive Committee.
