Progressive Central 2024: A Milestone in Activism

Progressive Central 2024, hosted by Progressive Democrats of America in coordination with our partners The Nation Magazine, The Arab-American Institute, and Operation Rainbow/PUSH, will take place in Chicago on August 18-19, 2024. This event is a unique opportunity for progressives to gather, discuss, and strategize on key policies and election strategies. It’s not just a convention; it’s a celebration of 20 years of relentless activism and a pivotal moment for the progressive movement.

Since 2004, during every Democratic National Convention year, PDA has brought together progressives in the DNC host city. This year, we’re focusing on the critical role the progressive movement will play in the upcoming elections and celebrating our two decades of impact. Join us to be part of this historic event and help shape the future of our democracy.

We’re beyond excited and honored to be welcoming Senator Bernie Sanders to Progressive Central 2024!

He has joined a star-studded lineup of speakers, including Congressional Progressive Caucus Chair Rep. Pramila Jayapal, Progressive powerhouse Reps. Ro Khanna, Maxwell Frost, Chuy Garcia, Danny Davis, Delia Ramirez, and Jonathan Jackson, The Nation‘s John Nichols, Sen. Nina Turner, President of NOW Christian Nunes, International President of Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL–CIO Sara Nelson, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Constitutional Lawyer John Bonifaz, with more speakers being added daily!

The central organizing principle of Progressive Central is simple: progressive politics match the needs of 21st-century America.

Our policies, individually and as a unified program, provide the best solutions to the crises that are undermining contemporary American society and politics.

The progressive agenda is all about building the type of society the overwhelming majority of Americans want.

Progressive Central 2024 will systematically outline core progressive policies, explain why they tackle the most pressing issues of our time, present them as a coherent whole to the American public, and highlight how we use these policy positions to bring home victories in November and beyond.

There is a lot of misinformation about progressive politics. Progressive Central 2024 will set the record straight.

What to expect: We will feature panels daily with national figures speaking on topics ranging from antidotes to the crisis of American democracy to a 21st-Century Economic Bill of Rights, the Climate Emergency, recasting U.S. foreign policy, and more.

In-person tickets are available for a suggested donation of just $30 per day, or $50 for both and THAT INCLUDES LUNCH. (Nobody registered will be turned away due to financial hardship.) SEATS ARE LIMITED, SO REGISTER NOW!
