Campaigning in the time of COVID. President Trump's COVID diagnosis and the Oct. 7 debate put more of a spotlight on Vice President Pence. The first week of October included debate prep. and the debate. Since the debate Pence did one or two rallies per day with occasional days in DC and a handful of days off. On Oct. 21 Pence senior political advisor Marty Obst tested positive for COVID and in the days that followed several other close aides did as well. Pence remained on the campaign trail, although he did forgo plans to preside over the U.S. Senate vote on the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court (+). During the month Pence did 34 announced Make America Great Again / Trump events and a few other political events. By State @mike_pence
