May 13 - Challenges U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D) in the primary in WV-3, gaining 33.55% of the vote.

Runs for WV State Senate District 7.
May 10 - Defeats Art Kirkendoll (D) by 55.17% to 44.83%.
Nov. 8 - Defeats Jordan Ray Bridges (R) by 58.82% to 41.18%.

Candidate for Congress in WV-3, losing to Carol Miller  (R) by 56.4%-43.6%.
Nov. 12 - Announces candidacy at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC.
