Mainers are ready to re-elect President Trump, and the campaign’s early investment in our state will pay off in November.” – RNC Spokesperson Nina McLaughlin

TRUMP CAMPAIGN AND RNC ANNOUNCE MAINE TEAMS

Donald J. Trump for President. Inc. and the Republican National Committee (RNC) today announced the members of the Maine Trump Victory effort, which will work to deliver a statewide victory for President Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot. The Trump campaign team includes a Trump campaign honorary state chair. The RNC's Maine team includes a regional political director and state director.

"Our Maine Trump Victory leadership team will work to build on the successes of 2016 to win statewide in 2020," said Brad Parscale, Campaign Manager of Donald J. Truimp for President, Inc. and Ronna McDaniel, Chairwoman of the RNC, in a joint statement. "President Trump has delivered a soaring economy, rebalanced trade relations, lowered healthcare costs, and fought to secure our border. His successes can be felt nationwide and electing Republicans across Maine will help to ensure he can achieve more victories for the American people for many years to come."

BACKGROUND
Since President Trump took office, he has added 14,000 jobs to Maine's economy, lowering the state's unemployment rate from 3.7 to 3% after the state hit an unemployment peak of 8.2% under President Obama. While President Obama lost 4,400 manufacturing jobs, President has added 2,300 – a truly remarkable turnarund for the manufacturing community. President Trump has added money back into the paychecks of Maine voters, with the average Maine taxpayer receiving a tax cut of $1,423. President Trump has lifted the prospect of voters across Maine, overseeing a 31,892 decline of Maine residents on food stamps. Finally, as President Trump lowers prescription drug costs and healthcare premiums, Democrat plans would cause 723,000 Maine resident to lose their current insurance plans – an unacceptable prospect.
