Tonight, following the closing of polls across all 67 counties, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that President Donald J. Trump has secured enough votes to win the state of Florida and that Republicans will retain control of both chambers of the Florida Legislature.
These efforts are the culmination of more than a yearlong effort by Governor Ron DeSantis to drive historic Republican voter registration and spearhead fundraising efforts to position President Trump and down ballot candidates for victory.

More than $20 Million Raised for GOP Victories
- Governor DeSantis has raised more than $12 million for President Trump’s reelection efforts in Florida.
- In addition to his efforts on behalf of the President, Governor DeSantis has raised more than $8 million for congressional, legislative and down ballot races.
- The Governor has accomplished these fundraising milestones at the expense of his own fundraising efforts.
- The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF), through Governor DeSantis’ efforts, has been able to provide administrative resources and personnel to assist Trump’s reelection. The RPOF hired over 190 field staffers that increased our boots-on-the-ground presence. Funds raised by Governor DeSantis have also been used for ad placements, historic voter registration efforts and get out the vote efforts.
$1 Million Invested, 1 Million Calls
- Governor DeSantis invested more than $1 million to launch a grassroots voter registration effort across the entire state, including over 1 million calls, as well as surveys and door knocking outreach.
- Governor DeSantis and the RPOF provided critical data to enhance President Trump’s reelection efforts and volunteer voter registration program. As a result, Florida Republicans have narrowed the gap to 134,000 which is the smallest difference between the two parties in Florida history.

Governor DeSantis has focused on protecting the security and integrity of Florida’s elections, including the announcement that the state would join the Registration Information Center (ERIC). By joining ERIC, Florida will be able to crosscheck voter registration data with 29 other member states in order to identify duplicate registrations and outdated records from voters who have moved or passed away, leading to cleaner and more accurate voter registration rolls.

Since taking office, Governor DeSantis has invested significant resources into cybersecurity and in June 2020 signed an executive order allowing Supervisors of Elections increased flexibility to canvass ballots in anticipation of a higher volume of ballots.

Governor DeSantis signed an executive order suspending Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher and accepted the resignation of Brenda Snipes, the former supervisor of elections for Broward County, following issues that occurred in the 2018 election.

President Trump Stands with Venezuelan and Cuban Immigrants to Defend the American Dream, Biden Turns a Blind Eye to Socialist Dictators
On the heels of the announcement of the White House Hispanic Prosperity Initiative, President Donald J. Trump held a roundtable with Venezuelan and Cuban immigrants in Miami, Florida. President Trump continues to preserve our nation's freedom and prioritize the success of the Hispanic American community. This stands in stark contrast to Joe Biden’s embrace of radical, socialist policies and negligence of hostile, foreign dictators."We imposed historic sanctions on the Maduro regime. The President also reinforced his commitment to terminate the trafficking of drugs into the United States with a briefing on enhanced counternarcotics operations from the U.S. Southern Command. While President Trump has taken strong action to secure our borders and decrease the amount of illicit narcotics coming into our country, Joe Biden has endorsed radical immigration policies that will open our borders and invite deadly drugs into our neighborhoods. Joe Biden prioritizes his own political agenda over the safety and well-being of Americans across the country. He refuses to put America first, but President Trump always will.

RNC Intervenes in Democrat Lawsuit to Protect Election Integrity in Florida
WASHINGTON – Today, the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the Republican Party of Florida intervened in a radical lawsuit that Democrats brought in Florida as part of their nationwide assault on the integrity of our elections."Democrats never let a crisis go to waste, and they are using a pandemic to completely destroy the integrity of our elections. Their latest attempt to circumvent election law in Florida would allow paid operatives to go door-to-door to collect and deliver thousands of ballots, as well as allow votes to be counted after Election Day. mongering over the dangers of voting in person in

happy to facilitate the spread of coronavirus and

- Allow ballots to be counted after Election Day. By forcing the state to count ballots that arrive after Election Day, county election offices will be needed to verify ballots for weeks after the election, potentially delaying the outcome of the election and opening the door for fraud and unnecessary litigation. A recent Democrat-leaning survey showed that 83% of voters support a ballot receipt deadline of Election Day, and the RNC recently won a big victory at the U.S. Supreme Court, which denied Democrats’ attempts at allowing ballots to be cast and counted after Election Day.
The RNC’s intervention in Neilsen v. DeSantis comes on the heels of another recent legal victory in Florida, in which the party defended Florida’s longstanding ballot order law against a challenge by Democrats. As a result, President Trump will appear at the top of Florida’s ballot.
The RNC continues to fight back against the Democrats’ assault on the integrity of our elections by intervening in left-wing backed lawsuits across the country. On Wednesday, Chairwoman McDaniel demanded Nevada’s Attorney General investigate election chaos brought on by a similar Democrat lawsuit. Last week, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court handed us a big victory, throwing out a left-wing lawsuit to allow ballots to be counted after Election Day. Similar radical lawsuits are being fought in states like Michigan, New Mexico, and Arizona. RPOF virtual campaign is a roaring success
As soon as President Trump recommended that states should shut down for a brief period to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Republican Party of Florida switched gears and in a 24-hour span flipped all efforts to a virtual operation. We never missed a beat.The switch has been an astonishing success and I wanted you all to know.
The RPOF’s Trump Victory team has hosted more than 430 virtual Trump Victory Leadership Initiative Trainings, and volunteers have made more than 4.4 million calls from the safety of their own homes — just in the past few weeks. We’ve engaged 18,750 grassroots supporters throughout Florida, and hosted about 10,400 one-on-ones, MAGA Meet-Ups and TVLI training sessions — everything virtual and safe.
Further, we are running a digital campaign hitting the 95,000 people who recently moved to Florida, many of whom have not registered yet, and we’re seeing success with their engagement. Now we’re preparing another digital campaign to follow up with those people to make sure every last Republican gets registered. Then we’ll be running a rolling campaign to make sure they vote by whatever method they desire.
This RPOF team throughout the state is hyper focused on keeping Florida red and re-electing President Trump in November. There’s never been a greater sense of urgency than what we continue to see from the media and Democrats. We have our eye on the election, and we’re already far ahead of the Florida Democrats’ efforts because our operation has never rested on picking up voters and getting them to the polls on election day. Our digital operation was already so strong that when the shutdown came, the transition was quick and smooth.
Field staffers have always been the backbone of the Party. They create that close contact with voters and motivate them to get out and support Republicans. They have proven themselves nimble and creative in finding ways to reach voters during this time.
I’m simply in awe of our team throughout the state for how quickly and effectively they adapted to the abrupt new requirements, and the awesome results we’re seeing. And they’ve done it so quietly and completely that very few people are even aware of the size of the operation we’ve created. But I wanted you to know this has been a rousing success and continues to increase those numbers every day.
We all know the stakes in the coming months. Gov. Ron DeSantis is doing outstanding work in guiding our state through this crisis. Measured by actual results and not media headlines, based on all the numbers still coming in, Florida has fared much better than was expected, and much better than other states that are younger, smaller and less diverse. That is real leadership and every Floridian should be proud of our Governor, despite the ugly partisan hit jobs.
Gov. DeSantis’ successful handling of this pandemic along with President Trump’s solid leadership and vision to allow states to make their own decisions about what is best for their residents, may well help us get President Trump reelected. That is our goal and I’m thrilled at how well this team is doing.
