President Trump Expanded the Republican Party

“It was my honor to be a part of laying the foundation for what I believe to be a Republican renaissance for Black Americans. Under the inclusive leadership of President Donald J. Trump, we are just getting started, and the best is yet to come.” – RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel

“The America First policies of President Trump undoubtedly drew more minorities into the Republican party. Because of his leadership we have changed the political map forever and Republicans have a roadmap on how to be competitive and victorious in nontraditional communities.” – Paris Dennard, RNC Senior Communications Advisor for Black Media Affairs

In 2020 President Trump increased support from Black Americans and received the highest share of minority voters since 1960
Black Vote

The Republican Party expanded with these Black leaders winning elections

Multi-Million-dollar comprehensive RNC Black engagement strategy worked
  • Invested in 15 Black Voices for Trump Community Centers in seven states that included voter education, registration, trainings, events and GOTV
  • Hired full-time staff in each of these states to work as our Black Voices for Trump Community Engagement Coordinators
  • Conducted a Black Urban Engagement canvassing GOTV effort in urban cities
  • Placed multiple ads in Black-owned newspapers nationwide

Bottom line: RNC investments in direct Black voter engagement paid off and President Trump helped expand the GOP into an even more diverse party of grassroots leaders, activists, candidates and elected officials. We must protect and secure the vote as we fight for the integrity of our elections knowing millions of courageous, free thinking and independent minded Black Americans supported President Trump and Republican candidates nationwide.

By the numbers: the RNC's unprecedented ground game

Historic investments from the Republican National Committee are fueling President Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot towards victory today.

Here’s some of what you need to know about what the largest campaign infrastructure in history looks like:

  • Trump Victory, the joint field effort between the RNC and the Trump campaign, has made 185 million volunteer voter contacts cycle to date (volunteer doors and phones).
    • That’s over 5 TIMES what we did in 2016 and it eclipses the Obama re-elect highwater mark in 2012 of 150 million.
  • With over 3,000 staff and our volunteer army of 2.6 million volunteers trained and activated, the RNC and Trump campaign have the largest political operation in history.
    • This volunteer army surpasses the Obama re-elect’s 2.2 million volunteers in 2012.
  • Throughout the campaign, Trump Victory held 74,000 grassroots events.
  • The RNC and Trump campaign have made significant gains in voter registration in key battleground states: Nearly 174,000 new registrations.
  • We’re invested in every community: The RNC and Trump campaign has 15 Black Voices for Trump community centers, 17 Latino Voices for Trump community centers, and 8 Asian Pacific Americans For Trump Community Centers in cities across the country.
    • Our Strategic Initiatives team held 9,940+ events this cycle in 14 different languages to engage voters.
  • And since 2013, the RNC has invested over $350 million into developing state of the art data and technology – this data is shared free of charge, through our relationship with state parties, with candidates up and down the ballot, giving us a huge advantage over the Democrats.
  • Our data operation is the backbone and foundation of our field program, influencing the strategy behind who we target.  This enables us to be more efficient with our time and resources as we know who to target with the right message at the right time.

For years, the RNC has been making smart, early investments to build out the Party infrastructure that will make a difference on Election Day.

Bottom Line: Through our unprecedented ground game, the RNC and the Trump campaign have talked to more voters than any other campaign in history. And it is because of President Trump’s tireless work for the American people and the unsurpassed efforts of our staff and volunteers on the ground, that President Trump will capitalize on the momentum he has in this race to win.
