I’M ANDREW YANG
I’m running for President as a Democrat in 2020 because I fear for the future of our country. New technologies have already destroyed more than 4 million US jobs, and in the next 5-10 years, they will eliminate millions more. And this time, the jobs will not come back.
 
I’m not a career politician—I’m an entrepreneur who understands the economy. We need to make an unprecedented change, and we need to make it now. As president, my first priority will be to implement the Freedom Dividend, giving $1,000 a month to every American adult. And that’s just the beginning.

I’m the father of two young boys. We need to build the kind of future our children deserve—one with healthcare for all, affordable education, a sustainable environment, and a new economy that puts Humanity First.

I urge you to join me. No one else is going to build a better world for us. We’re going to have to do it ourselves. Together.

ANDREW'S VISION FOR AMERICA
HUMAN CAPITALISM
The market should serve humanity— not the other way around.
While capitalism has led to unparalleled success and innovation, the overemphasis on profits has been harmful to the vast majority of Americans.

We need to move to a new form of capitalism, Human Capitalism, that’s geared towards  maximizing human well-being and fulfillment.

It’s time to change the way we measure the economy, moving away from GDP and corporate profits to human-centered measurements like median income, standard of living, job satisfaction, childhood success, life expectancy, and  mental health.

THE FREEEDOM DIVIDEND
$1,000/month for every American adult, no strings attached.
We need to implement the Freedom  Dividend, a universal basic income of $1,000  a month for every American adult over the age of 18. This would enable all Americans to pay their bills, pursue education, start businesses, stay healthy, relocate for work, spend time with their children, take care of loved ones, and have a real stake in the future.

The Freedom Dividend would permanently grow the economy by 13 percent—or about $2.5 trillion by 2025—and would increase the labor force by 4.5 million people. Putting money into people’s hands and keeping it there would be a perpetual boost and support to job growth and the economy.

MEDICARE FOR ALL
Every American deserves quality, affordable healthcare.
America is one of the few industrialized nations that does not provide healthcare for all of its citizens.  Instead, we have a private healthcare system that leaves millions uninsured and leads to hundreds of thousands of bankruptcies every year. At the same time, our cost of care is higher than in almost any other industrialized country while providing worse outcomes.

Our employer-based system also makes it hard to start new businesses or hire new employees. And those who work in the gig economy, or as part-time or  contract workers, are left out.

As President, I will work with Congress to create a Medicare For All program to provide healthcare  to all Americans. We can control costs while  providing universal coverage, moving from the worst to the best of both worlds.
