HONOR OUR NATION'S IMMIGRANT ROOTS, allow for lawful asylum, make Dreamers U.S. citizens, stop family separations, and bring more of our fellow Americans out of the shadows.

INVEST IN WORLD-CLASS PRE-K THROUGH 12 PUBLIC EDUCATION and ensure that we are paying our educators a living wage.

PROVIDE DEBT-FREE HIGHER EDUCATION so young men and women can learn technical skills or earn degrees that allow them to pursue careers that provide a real paycheck without being saddled with debt.

PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY with a new Voting Rights Act, banish big money from our politics, end gerrymandering, and enact national same-day and automatic voter registration.

DEFEND WOMEN'S REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS by mobilizing all three branches of the federal government to protect a woman's constitutional right to choose and pass federal legislation affirming Roe v. Wade.

GUARANTEE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERY AMERICAN by offering paid family leave and equal pay for women, ending discrimination in the workplace, and providing access to capital for communities that have been historically shut out from buying a home or starting a business.

On the City Council, Beto fought to ensure every neighborhood shared in the community's opportunities and successes. He fought to end discrimination of all kinds and promote the city's acceptance, tolerance, and diversity

FINDING COMMON GROUND IN CONGRESS
In Congress, Beto worked with both parties to deliver real results:
– Expanded access to mental healthcare for veterans and improving the VA
– Protected public lands and waters
– Improved security, trade, and travel at our border with Mexico
– Expanded broadband to rural small businesses, drawing from his own experience as an El Paso small-business owner

ENGAGING EVERY COMMUNITY ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL
In 2018, Beto ran for U.S. Senate in Texas taking no community for granted. He ran on a progressive agenda that led to record turnout and helped elect dozens of new progressives.
