HIGHLIGHTS FROM
Congressman Delaney's Announcement of His Campaign for President

Excerpts from John K. Delaney's Facebook Live video, "Why I'm Running for President"

"My vision for the country is based on my own American Dream, and my focus is on preparing our country for the future.

Healthcare should be a right for every American.

THE REAL ENEMY OF PROGRESS IS HYPER-PARTISAN POLITICS that prioritizes political victories over the common good.

I have an alternative economic vision, ROOTED IN A MORE DYNAMIC ECONOMY, A RENEWED SOCIAL CONTRACT, and a respectful, bipartisan, get-things-done approach."

John was elected to Congress in 2012 after more than two decades as a successful entrepreneur and executive who built two publicly traded businesses from the ground up, creating thousands of jobs and helping small businesses create thousands more.

Through these experiences, he learned many crucial lessons: that new ideas are the cornerstones of the future, investing in people is good for the bottom line, and finding common ground is how you get things done.

"A future where America's standing in the world is reasserted with real leadership, and STRONGER GLOBAL ALLIANCES THAT WORK FOR PEACE AND SECURITY.

My commitments are to advance progressive values, find common ground, and create forwardlooking policies that help everyday Americans."

John and his wife April have four daughters
