Mike has a strong record of supporting women – from hiring women to top positions and providing 26 weeks of paid family leave at his company, to supporting women candidates, to awarding 70% more city contracts to women and minority­-owned businesses.

AS PRESIDENT HE WILL:
 
  • END THE PAY GAP, ensure women receive equal pay for equal work, collect the right data, raise the minimum wage, and recognize at-home work with tax refunds.
  • SUPPORT WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS, ensure women entrepreneurs receive fair access to the capital and resources they need to succeed and support their employees. 
  • GUARANTEE 12 WEEKS OF PAID FAMILY LEAVE, make it equitable, gender neutral and available to workers of all incomes, and protect workers from retaliation for taking leave.
  • TACKLE THE MATERNAL MORTALITY CRISIS especially for communities of color, expand access to reproductive health care, and protect a woman's right to choose.
  • IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF CHILD CARE, make it more affordable, guarantee access to full-day preschool, and provide at-home healthcare support to working families.
