RELEASE: Senator Amy Klobuchar Launches “Win Big Project” to Elect Democrats Up and Down the Ballot in 2020 and Beyond

MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- Today, Senator Amy Klobuchar announced the launch of a new national effort, the Win Big Project, to continue her work of helping Democrats win up and down the ballot in 2020 and beyond.

The Win Big Project will focus on electing Democrats from blue, purple and red districts and states who are committed to governing with integrity and moving our country forward.

“This November we have a chance to change the direction of our country by electing candidates - up and down the ticket - who will work to unite Americans instead of divide them,” said Justin Buoen, Senior Advisor for Senator Klobuchar. “It’s not enough to just win back the White House and eke out a victory on Election Night. We need to win big so we can take back the U.S. Senate, keep the House and focus on an agenda and policies that will improve people’s lives. We can do that by electing Democrats in blue, purple, and red districts and states across the country.”

Senator Klobuchar has made it a priority to campaign for and support federal, state and local candidates and parties throughout her entire career. Since winning her Senate seat in 2006, Klobuchar has been a consistent presence at events for candidates across the country, including speaking at over 30 state Democratic party dinners and conventions. She has campaigned for candidates in states like Kansas, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Virginia, New Hampshire, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado, where Democrats have flipped major seats.

In recent weeks, Senator Klobuchar has participated and headlined a number of grassroots fundraising events with organizations focused on helping elect Democrats, including Run for Something, the Ohio Democratic Party, Voto Latino, and more. She has also focused her efforts on supporting the Win Big Project’s first round of endorsements.
