My Faith Votes Arms Hundreds of Churches to host Voter Registration Sunday, Sept. 22

Webinar to Train Churches to hold Voter Registration Drives, Aug. 19

DALLAS — My Faith Votes is set to hold its first-ever national “Voter Registration Sunday” September 22. The event will see hundreds of churches across the country organizing simultaneous voter registration drives and rallying their congregations to register to vote.

In preparation for the event, My Faith Votes will lead an informational webinar Monday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. CT to train volunteers and church leaders how best to plan and execute a successful voter registration drive in their local communities. Churches and churchgoers can sign up to attend the webinar here.

Out of America’s 90 million Christians, as many as 40 million do not vote in presidential elections. Fifteen million aren’t even registered.

“We have to change this, we can change this and we will change this,” remarks Jason Yates, CEO of My Faith Votes. “The local church is key to helping every Christian understand how important it is to influence the culture and nation through one’s faith, and one of the most crucial ways to do that is by voting with biblical values.”

Churches and churchgoers can sign up to participate in “Voter Registration Sunday,” access a free resource guide and toolkit, or sign up to attend the Aug. 19 webinar here.
