New York Hotel and Motel Trades Council to Endorse Bill de Blasio for President

HTC to become the first union in the country to endorse de Blasio, citing his pro-worker record.
Event will include Mayor de Blasio, HTC President Peter Ward and 500 union members.
New York, NY — Today, the politically powerful New York Hotel and Motel Trades Council (HTC), will become the first labor union in the nation to endorse New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for President. Joined by 500 union members, HTC President Peter Ward will gather with de Blasio to announce the endorsement and the member-led organizing efforts the union will launch on his behalf in early primary states.
In backing de Blasio, Ward will tout his pro-worker record as New York City mayor, including his monumental universal pre-kindergarten program, his successful push for a $15 minimum wage, a nation-leading affordable housing program, and a mandatory paid sick leave law.
