OVERVIEW
The race for the Democratic
nomination has been
effectively settled since April 8 when Sanders suspended his campaign
and Biden
became the presumptive nominee, but Sanders is still
accumulating delegates.
On May 5 the Democratic
Party of Oregon noted, "New data released by
the Oregon Secretary of State today shows that 1,006,266
Oregonians are now registered Democrats, making the Democratic Party
the first political party in Oregon history to surpass the 1 million
mark, and showing an increase of 10,000 new Democrats over the prior
month." Further, "While Republicans have achieved a net increase
of about 5,000 voters in the last year in Oregon, Democrats have
seen a net increase of nearly 30,000."
Republican: Trump 361,010 (93.71%),
write-in 24,247 (6.29%), Total 385,257.
Estimated eligible voters:
3,143,034. Total registered voters: 2,833,716.
Ballots returned: 1,334,490.
