Iowa Endorsements

The 2020 Democratic presidential candidates looked for endorsements from federal, statewide and local elected officials as well as former elected officials and prominent figures.  This page focuses on current state and Democratic officials.  Some were early endorsers, some late endorsers and some non-endorsers.  Biden has done well, gaining support of two of the state's three members of Congress and 16 state legislators.  Klobuchar leads in endorsements by current legislators at 19.  Sanders, although a (or the) frontrunner according to polling, has only gained the backing of two current legislators.
