Jewish Voters Helped Ensure Biden Win

WASHINGTON – With results of the 2020 presidential election now close to final, it is clear that Jewish voters provided overwhelming support for President-elect Joe Biden. According to a national poll conducted by GBAO, more than three-quarters of Jewish voters supported Biden by a nearly-historic 56% margin (77-21). The Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) played a significant role in mobilizing the Jewish vote in states that proved decisive in ensuring Joe Biden’s victory.

For the past year, JDCA organized Jewish voters in 14 swing states where it made a clear difference in the margin of victory in the presidential election. With more than 120 House and Senate candidate endorsements, nearly 200 voter engagement events, over 600,000 voter contacts (via text message and phone), and powerful digital ads viewed more than 45 million times on the open web, JDCA helped to ensure the Jewish vote impacted the outcome of the 2020 presidential election in support of Joe Biden.

“Jewish voters provided overwhelming support for Joe Biden, which had a meaningful and decisive impact on the outcome of this election in key swing states. Comparing the margins by which Biden won to the Jewish electorate in states such as Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Nevada, it’s clear that Jewish voters were an essential component of the coalition that ensured Joe Biden’s victory,” said Halie Soifer, JDCA executive director.

Key states where the Jewish vote was an essential part of Biden’s margin of victory include:

Arizona – Biden vote margin + 10,377*
Eligible Jewish voters** – 113,300
JDCA targeted 81,890 voters.

Georgia – Biden vote margin + 14,172*
