O'Malley notes that he travelled to over thirty states and campaigned with over 120 candidates in the last two years.  He does not say anything of his own decision making about not running for a second time.  He states, "People are looking for a new leader who can bring us together. They are looking for a unifier and a healer. They are looking for a leader of principle, and they are now looking for a fearless vision."  Of O'Rourke he writes, "The fearless vision and unifying message which brought people together in Texas also sparked imaginations all across our country. And, I believe, will again — if Beto O’Rourke runs for president."
