Trump Campaign & RNC Cap Record-Setting 2nd Quarter with Record-Setting June, Boast $295M War Chest

Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., the Republican National Committee (RNC), and their authorized joint fundraising committees today announced that combined they raised over $266 million in the record-setting second quarter of 2020.  In June alone, the Trump and RNC committees raised a record $131 million. The massive amount raised in June eclipses the total raised in any single month of 2016.

The staggering second quarter haul is over $111 million more than the first quarter of 2020, a 71 percent increase, highlighting the incredible enthusiasm Americans have for President Trump and Republicans across the country. In June, the Trump campaign, RNC, and joint committees took in an average of $4.3 million per day, driven by a record setting single day online figure of $14 million on the President’s birthday.

The joint Trump re-election effort continues to be in an incredibly strong financial position, with over $947 million raised over the past two years, and over $295 million cash on hand, dwarfing that of Joe Biden and the Democrats, continuing to increase a vast cash-on-hand advantage.

The massive second quarter haul is especially notable as it was largely fueled by the robust digital, mail and online donor base amassed, as President Trump only held two fundraising events in the second quarter. This speaks to the strength, breadth and depth of support for President Trump by Republicans, whereas in contrast, Joe Biden is personally holding fundraising events constantly, and still can’t coalesce voters and donors to his cause.

“The Trump campaign’s monumental June fundraising haul proves that people are voting with their wallets and that enthusiasm behind President Trump’s re-election is only growing,” said Trump 2020 Campaign Manager Brad Parscale. “No one is excited about Joe Biden, which is why he has to rely so heavily on surrogates like Barack Obama and radical Hollywood elites. In stark contrast, President Trump is tapping into support from real Americans all across the country who have reaped the benefits of his America First agenda.”

“After yet another haul of record-breaking support, the voters are speaking loud and clear – they support President Trump,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. “As Joe Biden remains hidden in his basement, President Trump is leading this country to a Great American Comeback that will reignite our economy, restore law and order, and usher in a new era of strength.”

“The enthusiasm for President Trump's re-election continues to be reflected by the campaign's historic fundraising hauls,” said Kimberly Guilfoyle, National Chair of the Trump Victory Finance Committee. “Over the past three months, Trump Victory Finance Committee, in concert with the Republican National Committee, spearheaded an innovative approach to digital fundraising that allowed the campaign to continue engaging donors and bundlers in a way never before seen in politics.”

Thanks to this continued enthusiasm and support, the Trump campaign and RNC are investing unprecedented sums into powering the largest field program and data operation in Party history which boasts over 1.3 million volunteers trained and activated and has made over 50 million voter contacts.

The RNC recently announced the hiring of an additional 300 field staffers, bringing the total Trump Victory operation in target states to over 1,100, nearly double that of the Biden operation.  The joint field effort continues to safely resume field operations in battleground states across the country while the Biden campaign sits idle, missing out on crucial voter contacts at a critical juncture of the campaign.

Biden for President and Joint Committees Raise $141 Million in Campaign’s Best Fundraising Month Ever

Biden Outraises Trump for Second Straight Month as Grassroots Energy Surges

Tonight, Biden for President (BFP), the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and their joint fundraising committees announced that they raised a combined $141 million in June, marking the campaign’s best fundraising month ever. In total, the campaign and DNC raised $282.1 million last quarter.

This haul means for the second consecutive month we have outraised Donald Trump’s campaign and demonstrates a surge in grassroots energy to elect Joe Biden. In June, 68% of last month’s donors were brand new to our campaign and the overall average online donation was $34. More than 2.6 million also signed up to join our campaign.

“It’s clear that voters are looking for steady leadership, experience, empathy, compassion, and character — and they’ll find all of these qualities in Vice President Joe Biden. This has been our argument since day one of this campaign, and it will be our winning argument in November,” Biden for President Campaign Manager Jen O’Malley Dillon wrote to supporters.

Below is the full message sent to supporters:

Hi, it’s Jen, Joe Biden’s campaign manager. I’m writing to you with an incredibly exciting update.

While we’re still counting, it looks like you did it again! I am proud to announce that in June -- with your support -- and the support of so many others -- we raised over $141 million.

Not only is this a jaw-dropping sum of money, but we once again outraised Donald Trump!! And this is before we have our final numbers!

In total, our campaign and the DNC raised $282.1 million for the quarter. It’s a true testament that the people are standing behind Joe Biden.

And our most powerful tool in winning this election is you. You may have been with VP Biden since day one, or you may have just joined us, but, either way, we’re so glad that you’re here. Here’s a look at how you and your fellow Team Joe supporters are powering this campaign:

  • 68% of our donors last month were brand-new to our campaign.
  • Educators continue to be the most common occupation among our donors.
  • Over 2.6 million people joined our email list last month alone.
The energy for Joe Biden is electric, and I’m so thankful for each of you that chipped in.

And now we are entering our final full quarter of the general election. So if you can, will you chip in so we can ensure we have a strong July?

It’s clear that voters are looking for steady leadership, experience, empathy, compassion, and character -- and they’ll find all of these qualities in Vice President Joe Biden. This has been our argument since day one of this campaign, and it will be our winning argument in November.

And Elana, we can’t lose sight of what is at stake. As the VP likes to say, we are in a battle for the soul of this nation, and the need to elect Joe Biden has never been more apparent. The coronavirus. Our economy. Combating institutional racism. All that and more is on the line. We absolutely cannot afford a president who only cares about himself. We urgently need a leader who will bring us together, overcome this emergency, and build us back stronger than before.

I’m looking forward to the work we’re going to accomplish together, and to the day we’re going to win this thing.

All my best,

Jen
