Cory 2020 Announces New Key Members of National Campaign Team
Newark, NJ – Today, Cory 2020 announced additional key members of his national campaign team. The staff are based in Cory 2020’s Newark, NJ, national headquarters and where they work alongside other key members of the Cory 2020 team.Jenn Brown, Deputy Campaign Manager, States (@jennb_jennb). Brown oversees organizing and our state operations. She most recently served as the Executive Director of Civic Nation and previously served as the Executive Director of Battleground Texas.
Bridgit Donnelly, Chief of Staff, Innovation (@bridgitd). Donnelly most recently served as the Director of Data and Analytics for the Public Engagement Unit for the City of New York. Prior to joining city government, she spent seven years in a variety of campaign roles, including as the Early Vote Data Lead & Data Science Project Manager for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.
Michael Fisher, Chief Technology Officer (@michaelefisher). Fisher most recently served in engineering leadership at Casper. Previously, Fisher served as an Engineering Manager at the Democratic National Committee and led the Site Reliability Engineering team on Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.
Jen Kim, States Chief of Staff. Kim most recently served as the Program Director for a national, non-partisan campaign focused on increasing voter registration rates in communities of color. Kim previously led advocacy efforts to protect communities from toxic chemicals, improve public transportation, and increase youth voter participation with the State PIRGs for nearly a decade, including four years as the Director of the New Jersey Public Interest Research Group (NJPIRG).
Jenna Kruse, Research Director (@JennaKruse). Kruse most recently served as Vice President of Research at EMILY's List. Prior to that, Kruse served as the Deputy Director of Strategy at the DCCC’s independent expenditure and Research Director for Sen. Brian Schatz, amongst other campaign roles.
Sobaika Mirza, Director of Human Resources (@TheSobaika). Mirza most recently served as Senior Operations Officer at Avaaz.
Emily Norman, Chief Innovation Officer. Norman oversees technology, analytics, and opinion research as the Chief Innovation Officer. She most recently led and worked on analytics teams at the DSCC, DNC, and Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. Norman previously founded the analytics practice at the political polling firm Global Strategy Group and has also served as an analytics and technology consultant to EMILY’s List, the AFL-CIO, and Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.
Amanda Perez, Policy Director. Perez most recently served as the policy director at the National Domestic Workers Alliance. Perez previously served as policy director for the U.S. Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee.
Marquita Sanders, Director of Scheduling and Advance (@MarquitaVS). Sanders previously served as GOTV Director for Mike Espy’s run for U.S. Senate. Sanders was previously an Account Executive at campaign strategy firm Deliver Strategies, and an Obama campaign and administration staffer from 2007-2016.
Adam Topper, Director of Scheduling. Topper has worked with Senator Cory Booker for over five years, most recently serving as his Director of Scheduling in his Senate office.
Simon Vance, Chief Analytics Officer (@simonnvance). Vance served as the Deputy Campaign Manager for Rich Cordray for Ohio and as the National Targeting Director & Iowa Caucus Analytics Director for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. Vance previously worked for Sen. Booker’s first campaign for US Senate in 2013 and on Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign in Ohio.
Josh Wolf, Chief Operations Officer. During the past seven years, Wolf served as the Director of Operations for the Mozilla Foundation and Director of Operations for MoveOn.org. In addition to his career in operations, Wolf has a decade of campaign experience as an organizer, campaign consultant, director of reporting and special projects, and director of data and technology.
Judy Zamore, Chief Financial Officer (@jzamore). Zamore is the founder and CEO of Capitol Compliance Associates and serves as treasurer for a number of campaigns and political committees.

Cory 2020 Announces Expansion of National and
Early States Communications Teams
Newark,
NJ -- Today, Cory 2020 announced
the hiring of several communications staff to Cory Booker's campaign
team, including in the critical early states of New Hampshire and
Nevada. This diverse team of professionals will help ensure that
Booker's vision for a united country in which the ties that bind us are
stronger than the lines that divide us is communicated to voters across
the country.
Julie McClain Downey will
serve as Director of State Communications. McClain Downey was most
recently the Senior Director of Campaign Communications for EMILY's
List, overseeing communications in a year of historic victories for the
organization. She has previously served as New Hampshire communications
director for Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2016, communications
director for the New Hampshire Democratic Party focused on Senator
Jeanne Shaheen's reelection in 2014, press secretary for Senator Brian
Schatz in 2013, and deputy press secretary for Shelley Berkley's Nevada
U.S. Senate campaign in 2012. She is from North Caldwell, NJ and is a
graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Chris Moyer will
serve as New Hampshire Communications Director. A Granite State native,
Moyer most recently was the communications director for Molly Kelly’s
gubernatorial campaign, which earned a record-setting vote total to win
the Democratic nomination in 2018. Moyer worked as a regional press
secretary on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign in Ohio and as body man
and press secretary for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s 2010
re-election victory in Nevada. Moyer has also worked in the U.S.
Senate, serving as deputy press secretary for Majority Leader Reid and
press secretary for former North Carolina Senator Kay Hagan. He is from
Hampstead, NH and a graduate of Boston University.
Sabrina Singh will
serve as National Press Secretary. Singh was most recently the
Democratic National Committee's deputy communications director,
overseeing the states and coalitions communications programs. She
previously served as a regional communications director on Hillary
Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, communications director for Katie
McGinty's U.S. Senate campaign in Pennsylvania, deputy communications
director for the Democratic Governors Association, senior associate at
SKDKnickerbocker and communications director for Rep. Jan Schakowsky.
During the 2012 cycle, Singh served as the deputy press secretary for
the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. She is from Los
Angeles, CA and is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
Vanessa Valdivia will
serve as Nevada Communications Director and Deputy National Press
Secretary for Spanish Language Media. Valdivia most recently worked as
Communications Director for U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich and led the
communications team for his successful re-election in 2018. She
previously worked for Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign, helping win the
Nevada caucus as an organizer during the primary and leading Latino
outreach in Colorado in the general election. Prior to the campaign,
Valdivia was an associate at the Los Angeles-based consulting firm
Gonring, Spahn and Associates. A California native, Valdivia earned her
Masters at the University of Southern California and is a graduate of
the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Cory 2020 Announces Several Key Members of State Campaign Teams
Newark, NJ --
Today, Cory 2020
announced
the
hiring
of
several
key
members of Sen. Cory
Booker's campaign team in the
critical early states of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. On
Friday, Booker announced that
he
is
running
for
President
of
the United States.
Booker will head to Iowa on
February
8
&
9,
and
then
to
South Carolina on February 10 & 11.
Booker will visit New Hampshire over Presidents’ Day weekend.
IOWA
Mike Frosolone will serve as Iowa
State Director. Frosolone brings a deep knowledge of Iowa’s political
landscape to the Cory 2020
caucus
effort.
He
served
as
the
Caucus
Director for the Iowa House
Democrats in 2016 and 2018, recruiting the most state House candidates
in thirty years and sending a record number of women to the Iowa House.
Prior to that, Frosolone worked in Iowa’s Third Congressional District
and began his Iowa career managing a successful state House race in
Western Iowa in 2010.
Haley Hager will serve as Iowa
Director
of Operations and Special Projects. Hager served as the 2018 State
Director for NextGen Iowa. Her leadership helped boost turnout among
young voters in Iowa, leading to Democratic victories at the state and
federal level. Hager launched her career as an organizer for Wendy
Davis and Battleground Texas in 2014. She previously worked in Iowa’s
First District in 2016.
Adam Henderson will serve as
Regional
Organizing Director. In 2018, Henderson managed Kenan Judge’s
successful bid for the Iowa House, flipping a critical seat blue. Prior
to that, he organized for several different Iowa campaigns, including
the 2016 Iowa Coordinated
Campaign.
Joe O'Hern will
serve as Iowa Senior Advisor. O’Hern has dedicated his career to
electing Democrats in Iowa. Cory 2020
will
be
his
fourth
Iowa
Caucus
campaign.
O'Hern began his career as a
field organizer for Obama 2008, went on to work for Rep. Leonard
Boswell, the Iowa Democratic Party, and served as Rep. David Loebsack's
campaign manager in 2016. In 2018, he crossed the Midwest to manage the
Ohio Democratic Party’s coordinated campaign.
Tom Pietrykoski will
serve
as Iowa Communications Director. Pietrykoski has served as Press
Secretary in Senator Booker’s Newark, NJ, office for more than three
years, helping to advance major legislative efforts on economic
justice, criminal justice reform, and environmental justice.
Pietrykoski previously served as Communications Director for Rep.
Bill
Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-09), including as spokesperson for two re-election
cycles.
Tess Seger will serve as
Deputy Iowa Communications Director and Press Secretary. Seger most
recently served as the Communications Director for the Iowa Democratic
Party, where she helped the party flip Iowa’s First and Third
Districts, pick up seats in the Iowa House, and capture the State
Auditor’s office. Prior to coming to Iowa, Seger served as a
communications advisor to progressive federal and state campaigns
seeking to represent some of the most vulnerable communities in
Southern California.
Sarah Sterner will
serve as Iowa Organizing Director. Sterner is a leading voice in
Midwest progressive organizing. She brings several cycles of experience
in Iowa, including the 2014 Midterms and Hillary Clinton’s successful
2016 Iowa Caucus campaign. Sterner served as the Statewide Organizing
Director for the Ohio Democratic Party’s 2018 coordinated campaign.
NEW HAMPSHIRE
Erin Turmelle will
serve as New Hampshire State Director. A native of Stratham, New
Hampshire, she was the Coordinated Campaign Director for the historic
2018 cycle where Democrats flipped the State House, State Senate,
Executive Council and held both Congressional seats. Before that, she
worked at the New Hampshire Democratic Party as Political Director.
Erin worked for Hillary for America in the 2016 cycle. She worked as a
Regional Field Director in New Hampshire in 2014 for Senator Jeanne
Shaheen's reelection campaign.
Sean Downey will
serve
as
New
Hampshire
Senior
Advisor.
Downey
has most recently been a
Partner with Hilltop Public Solutions New England. Downey has served as
Political Director for President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election
campaign, District Director for U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster from 2013-2014,
Senior Advisor to Governor John Lynch in his 2010 campaign, and held
senior roles for Chris Dodd for President, U.S. Sen. Evan Bayh and the
historic 2006 NH Senate Democratic Caucus. Sean was also Executive
Director of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee in 2011.
Emma Tyler will
serve as New Hampshire Deputy State Director. Tyler served as the
Organizing Director for the successful 2018 NHDP Coordinated Campaign.
Previously, Emma was a Project Manager for Strategic Initiatives &
International Affairs for New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, a Regional
Organizing Director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, and an
organizer for Hillary Clinton in Manchester, New Hampshire.
SOUTH CAROLINA
Christale Spain will
serve as South Carolina State Director. Spain has worked for Rep. Jim
Clyburn, and is the founding chair of the South Carolina Democratic
Party Black Women’s Caucus. She is the former Executive Director of the
South Carolina Democratic Party, and worked as South Carolina Political
Outreach Director for Senator Bernie Sanders 2016 presidential
campaign.
Clay Middleton will serve as Senior
Political Advisor for Cory 2020.
Middleton
worked
as
the
South
Carolina
State
Director for Hillary
Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2016, and later as a regional
political director for Hillary for America in Florida. In addition to
serving in several roles in the Obama administration and White House,
Middleton worked as the South Carolina Political Director for Barack
Obama’s 2008 general election presidential campaign. Middleton has also
been a long-time district aide to Congressman Jim Clyburn.
