Our Strategy:

With six weeks left until Election Day, Biden for President Colorado is in a strong position to win the Mile High State and send Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House.

As President, Joe Biden will restore the soul of our nation, rebuild the backbone of our economy -- the middle class -- and unite our country. President Trump has failed Coloradans. From his mismanagement of the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic fallout, his 14 pointdeficit in the state makes clear that President Trump has made Coloradans' lives worse.

Colorado is ready for a real leader -- and Joe Biden is the right candidate with the right message for voters and the right vision for the future. He cares about issues important to voters, like stopping the spread of COVID, building back the economy, and health care.

Our campaign is running a voter contact program focused on quality conversations with voters across Colorado to meet voters where they are and earn every vote.

Joe Biden is the leader Colorado needs, and we’re strongly positioned for victory

  • ●  Between the highest health care premiums in the nation to rapidly worsening fires to an economy hit hard by COVID, Coloradans are ready for a leader who is going to fight in every corner of the state for working people. Joe Biden will make the climate crisis a top priority in his administration, build on the ACA, and rebuild the middle class.

  • ●  In the 2018 midterms, Democrats in Colorado won local and state-wide offices across the state--flipping one congressional seat, gaining all four state-wide seats, growing the majority in the state House, and flipping the state Senate, all while also becoming the most diverse state legislature in history and majority women state legislature.

  • ●  Coloradans trust Joe Biden to unite our country. Our message is resonating in Colorado because voters want a new leader who will unite the country and center the needs of ordinary Americans and small businesses over corporations and the wealthiest. A recent poll from GBAO Strategies found that 66% of registered Hispanic voters in Colorado favored Joe Biden, as compared to just 23% favoring Donald Trump.

We aren’t taking a single Coloradan for granted

Coloradans are getting involved. During the first six weeks that our organizing program was fully operational, roughly 25,000 Coloradans volunteered to text or call voters to get out the vote, and 72% of those interested in volunteering had not volunteered with a statewide Democratic Campaign in Colorado since the 2012 election. In the first month, more than five thousand Coloradans took action and completed a phone or texting banking shift - and our data shows that when Coloradans take action, they aren’t just doing it once, they are joining their local volunteer team to save the soul of the nation.

We are building a strong and diverse coalition
.

This campaign is meeting voters where they are. In addition to an organizing program based on geography, the campaign is heavily engaging with various communities, including Latinos, African Americans, Asian-American Pacific Islanders, Young Professionals, Veterans, Women, Tribal Communities, Faith Communities, LGBTQIA+, Labor, and rural and Conservative areas.

○ Specific events include Chili Cook-Off with the Latino Council, a Veterans Roundtable, Cuts and Conversations with the African American council, and an AAPI roundtable with special guest Michelle Kwan and gold star family Khizr Khan

Joe Biden’s appeal across the political spectrum. Even  Republicans and former Republicans are excited about the Biden-Harris ticket. Citing both policy and personal concerns, the Biden coalition in Colorado includes Democrats, Republicans, and Unaffiliated voters alike. We are also seeing excitement among critical communities such as labor unions, local law enforcement leaders, and small businesses.

We are meeting the moment with effective organizing

Running a 21st Century campaign in the age of COVID: Whether events are taking place over Zoom, storytelling over Soapboxx, or conversations are happening through the newly created VoteJoe App, our campaign is utilizing creative measures to reach and engage voters. During the Democratic National Convention, we held over 150 virtual watch parties in Colorado.

We are helping voters understand how to cast their ballot

●  Biden for Presidentis running one of the most robust, heavily resourced Voter Protection operations, and that includes Colorado. Colorado leads the country in making voting more accessible, with 121 new drop boxes across the state. There will be at least 368 drop boxes available to voters, up from 247 in the 2018 election. Biden for President will operate a hotline and recruit hundreds of lawyers to serve as poll watchers on Election Day.

●  Our robust voter education program includes IWillVote.com. The Colorado team has worked across all available channels to educate voters on their voting options and deadlines in Colorado. Whether it is through mail, phone calls, text banks, social media, paid ads, or the newly launched IWillVote.com, voters are constantly hearing of all the ways they can vote in this state.

Where we go from here

We are exploring new events across the state. To meet voters where they are, the campaign is exploring events, such as drive-in rallies, in-person Arts for Biden and Yogis for Biden events, and live concerts to drum up enthusiasm.

We are using unique, creative ways to reach voters. In this time of COVID, the campaign is using unique tactics to engage directly with voters and talk about the issues. These events include chili cook-offs, watch parties with celebrities, drive-in movie theater rallies, and more.

There are 43 days until November 3rd and Biden for President Colorado is going to use every single one of them to persuade and mobilize Coloradans to cast their ballot for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
