Biden for President Announces Out for Biden National GOTV Initiative

Today, Biden for President is announcing the launch of Out for Biden, a national Get Out the Vote initiative aimed at turning out a record number of LGBTQ+ voters this November to elect Joe Biden.
 
Across America, there are 11 million LGBTQ+ voters who could cast a ballot in the upcoming presidential election. They represent communities and voters of all racial and economic backgrounds and are a core component of Vice President Biden’s winning coalition. Out for Biden will leverage relationships with pro-equality partners to register and mobilize LGBTQ+ voters around the country, with an emphasis on key battleground states.
 
"Our campaign’s decision to launch Out for Biden in the shadow of historic protest elevates the power of the moment and encourages deep — and sometimes difficult — dialogue within our LGBTQ+ community as Pride month begins,” said Reggie Greer, LGBTQ+ Vote Director. “LGBTQ+ people of color are central to the fabric of our communities. We must elect a government that will center their voices and celebrate the contributions of LGBTQ+ people everywhere."
 
Out for Biden will empower Vice President Biden’s LGBTQ+ coalition by strengthening collaboration across intersectional lines, honing communications for a cohesive movement, and providing unprecedented access to our country’s most prominent LGBTQ+ leaders. Out for Biden will be both an initiative of close listening and collective action, ensuring LGBTQ+ and pro-equality voters have the necessary tools to be engaged this election cycle and ultimately defeat hate with love at the ballot box on November 3rd.
 
Out for Biden will be led by a diverse group of respected leaders, activists, elected officials, and experts. Out for Biden National Organizing Committee members Katherine Rice, Alex Gabriel, and Matt Nosanchuk will coordinate and support the work on the Steering Committee. As part of today’s announcement, Out for Biden is releasing a tool kit for LGBTQ+ voters and allies to activate and engage their communities.
