"Michael Bennet– Helping Trump is
NOT a Good Look" +
:30 TV ad run in NH from May 7, 2019.
[Music]
Male Announcer:
Donald
Trump is giving our courts a right-wing makeover, and Senator
Michael Bennet is helping him do it.
Bennet’s
backed many of Trump’s extreme judges. He votes for them almost 70
percent of the time. Bennet even praised Neil Gorsuch when Trump picked
him for the Supreme Court seat stolen from President Obama.
Now that Democrats are proposing ways to fix the court, Bennet is
standing in the way of that, too.
Hey, Michael Bennet – what gives? Helping Trump is not a good look.

DEMAND JUSTICE TO AIR TV AD
IN NEW HAMPSHIRE BLASTING MICHAEL BENNET
FOR VOTING FOR 67% OF TRUMP JUDGES
Ad Follows Bennet’s Criticism of Democrats for Fighting Back
Against
GOP’s Court Packing
WASHINGTON, DC—Demand Justice released a new television
and
digital
ad in New Hampshire Tuesday criticizing
Colorado
Senator Michael Bennet for supporting President Donald Trump’s judicial
nominees almost 70% of the time.
Bennet received an “F” grade for his support of Trump’s
judges
in Demand
Justice’s
first-ever
report
card that was released in April.
“Donald Trump is rigging the courts, and Michael Bennet is
helping
him do it,” said Brian Fallon, Executive Director of Demand Justice.
“Senator Bennet should not get to hide from his record on this issue.
He should have to explain why on earth he votes for Trump’s judges 67%
of the time.”
The ad comes after Bennet was asked Sunday about his past
support
for Trump judges during an appearance on
NBC’s
Meet
the
Press. Bennet doubled down on his voting record
and renewed his criticism of former Senate Democratic Leader
Harry Reid’s effort in 2013 to overcome Republican obstruction of
Barack Obama’s nominees.
Demand Justice’s 30-second spot says Bennet is helping Trump “give a right-wing makeover” to the courts and notes his vote to advance the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, who filled the seat that Mitch McConnell stole from President Obama. The ad also references Bennet’s early opposition to Democratic proposals to rebalance the courts.
