Buttigieg (from
rally):
Workers
have to work multiple
jobs just to hold onto what they’ve got while corporations making
billions of dollars are paying zero in
taxes.
I am running to be a president for the guy who’s up early scraping the
windshield on his way to the first of his jobs.
For the single mom who is at work keeping an eye on the clock because
when her kids are out of school she is worried about whether they’re
going to be okay.
That’s why I am running for president. [cheering SFX]
Buttigieg (voiceover):
I’m Pete Buttigieg and I approve this message.

Pete for America Announces New Ad In Iowa As Caucus Night Approaches
DES MOINES, IA –– Today, Pete for America announced a new ad in Iowa ahead of the Iowa caucuses on February 3rd. The ad will run in the Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Quad Cities, and Sioux City media markets.
The 30-second ad highlights how Pete will fight for American workers who are working hard to make ends meet. Pete will be the president who, on that first day the sun comes up in this country and Donald Trump is no longer President, work to heal our country’s divides and restore decency and respect to public life. He will work on the urgent issues that Trump has made worse: getting health care costs down, building an economy that actually values work, tackling climate change, and ending gun violence.
Pete
will
return
to Iowa for a five day swing from January 12 through
January 17. On Pete’s last trip to Iowa at the end of December, he
visited four counties that flipped from Obama to Trump and drew the
largest crowd each county has seen this caucus cycle. In December
alone, Pete held five town halls that attracted over 1,000 people in
Coralville, Davenport, Mount Vernon, West Des Moines, and Indianola.
