Which Presidential Candidate is Getting the Most Student Votes Across America?

Jesse Jackson.
Here's Why.

Because Jesse Jackson is committed to excellence in education.

In the 1980s federal education funding has been cut by 15 percent while military spending has doubled. We can afford to give everyone a good education—by changing our priorities. We must double the federal education budget. We can assure that every qualified student can enter and finish college by doubling college grants and loans to $15 billion. We must fully fund adult education, college entry, and vocational training programs. We can rebuild our teaching corps, by creating a $1 billion scholarship-for-service program for teaching candidates.

Because Jesse Jackson calls for a just economy.

Seven years of Reaganomics have reduced the standard of living here and abroad. Workers' paychecks have shrunk; home ownership eludes the young; and poverty stalks the streets of America. We must invest in America: modernize our plants, retrain our workers, and develop the best technology. We can get out of the budget deficit mess by reversing the way Reagan got us in: restoring fair taxes; eliminating unnecessary military spending; and promoting a full employment economy in which tax consumers are turned into revenue generators.

Because Jesse Jackson respects women.
Women are not a special interest group. They are a majority in our society and they have the right to a livable income. We must pass the Equal Rights Amendment and grant women pay equity with men. Women must have full protection under the law, and the country needs an Attorney General who will vigorously enforce anti-discrimination laws instead of having to defend himself. We must enable women to combine work and family by providing quality and affordable childcare. We must respect women's right to choose, and offer adequate methods of family planning. We must challenge violence against women.

Because Jesse Jackson seeks a just foreign policy.
We must negotiate with the Soviet Union mutual and verifiable agreements for deep cuts in both countries' nuclear arsenals. We must support and strengthen the rule of international law, promote self-determination and human rights, and support international economic justice and development. It's time we support the efforts of Central Americans to achieve negotiated solutions to the region's conflicts. Stability in the Middle East can be achieved by guaranteeing Israel's security while creating a Palestinian homeland. We must impose comprehensive sanctions against South Africa to achieve democracy in South Africa.

Yes, I want to join hands with Jesse Jackson to bring Jobs, Peace & Justice to our world.
