The California Primary on June 7th is the last time that the Democratic Party will hear directly from the people before the convention in Atlanta. What we say will be heard, not only in Atlanta, but also in Washington and around the world! On June 7th, make California count! Cast your vote for Jesse Jackson.
Jesse Jackson's campaign is a campaign of hope. It is a campaign of empowerment. Jesse Jackson's vision is the power of a caring and sharing community. His platform is a commitment to the soul of America. This must be the message that we send from California.
Let our vote for Jesse Jackson be our commitment to
• Invest in our children and in their schools, their teachers, daycare and other educational programs that serve them.
• Support pay equity and comparable worth—the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment and a woman's right to choose.
• Work toward providing decent homes for all Americans.
• Preserve bilingual education and services and respect and protect the language and culture of all nationalities.
• Build a comprehensive health care system for all Americans, regardless of income or age.
• End the arms race as well as U.S. military involvement in the Third World and begin mutual cooperation and development.
• Find a cure for AIDS.
• End environmental destruction and restore the natural resources which have already been harmed.
• End unnecessary military spending and redirect our economic priorities.
• Stop the importing of drugs and the exporting of jobs
• Put an end to apartheid in South Africa.
• Ensure job security, safe working environments and livable wages for America's workers.
Jesse Jackson has devoted his life to making the dream of America a reality for all of us. He has marched, sung, laughed, wept, prayed, sat down, stood up, spoken out, confronted, embraced, negotiated, loved, linked arms and held hands.
His experience is our experience.
