Returning home to Kansas, Dole began his distinguished career in public service as a state legislator. He was then elected County Prosecutor, Congressman, Senator, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee and finally Senate Majority Leader.
In every arena, Bob Dole has been a man others look to for leadership.

A former Chairman of the Republican National Committee, he served as President Gerald Ford's Vice Presidential running mate in 1976.
