June 20, 2018 - More than 70
House Democrats held an event on the steps of the Capitol to call for
passage of the Keep Families Together Act, H.R.
6135 (+). The
measure, introduced by Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) has the backing of
more than 190 Democratic House members. Earlier in the day
Democratic members and advocates rallied
in the House Triangle against the Trump
administration's family separation policy. Later in the afternoon
President Trump signed an executive order "Affording Congress the
Opportunity to Address Family Separation (+)."
