We owe it to unemployed and underemployed Texans to connect them with high-value jobs. Let's invest in training, certification, and apprenticeship programs to allow Texans to keep pace with increasingly specialized professions.

CARING FOR OUR VETERANS
Our veterans should receive the care and dignity they have earned. We must work together to ensure every veteran has access to quality healthcare, timely resolutions to their disability claims and appeals, and affordable housing.

HEALTHCARE
Healthcare must be a basic human right, not a function of wealth, employment or luck. We need a single-payer healthcare system that covers every single American and works with every hospital, clinic, and doctor's practice—private, public or non-profit—in the country. Our state must also expand Medicaid to protect vulnerable children, Texans with disabilities and elderly Texans.

CUIDADO PARA NUESTROS VETERANOS
Nuestros veteranos deben recibir el cuidado y la dignidad que se merecen. Por eso tenemos que trabajar juntos para asegurarnos que cada veterano tenga acceso al cuidado de la salud de calidad, resoluciones oportunas para sus reclamos y apelaciones de discapacidad, y vivienda asequible.
 
CUIDADO A LA SALUD
El cuidado a la salud debe ser un derecho humano básico, y no debe depender de nuestro patrimonio, empleo o suerte. Necesitamos un sistema de cuidado a la salud universal el cual cubra a cada americano y trabaje con cualquier hospital, clínica y médico—ya sea privado, público o parte de organizaciones sin fines de lucro—en este país. Texas, al igual, tiene que expandir Medicaid para proteger niños vulnerables, tejanos con discapacidad y a tejanos myores de edad.
