A New Direction for New Mexico

Michelle Lujan Grisham is a 12th-generation New Mexican, a mother and grandmother who has followed her parents' example of helping others and working to improve the lives of others — from going undercover to expose elder abuse in nursing homes to standing up to President Trump on health care and immigration issues.

It's no secret that New Mexico has problems ... that's why Michelle has specific plans to lead New Mexico in a new direction, on schools, jobs and fighting crime.

Michelle will fund the education system New Mexico needs and our children deserve. She'll make access to pre-K a reality for every family, work to give our students the 21 st century skills they need to succeed and move away from the disastrous testing system that holds our teachers back from teaching.

She'll jumpstart our economy by investing in small business and infrastructure. Michelle wants to make New Mexico the Clean Energy State and let our wind and solar provide more New Mexicans with jobs — and promoting apprenticeships for our students means they'll have the skills to succeed at clean energy and other good paying careers.

And Michelle knows none of it matters unless our children are safe in their schools and families in their homes. She'll fight for common-sense measures to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals and work to put more police on the street and give them every resource they need to keep New Mexico families safe from crime.

"My parents taught me as a child that helping others is just the right thing to do — so that's what I've worked to do in my life, as Secretary of Health and Aging, as a small business owner and in Congress.

"That's why I'm running for Governor. New Mexico needs a new direction and I have the experience, determination and a real plan to make our state better and safer for families. I'll never give up ... and I'll never stop fighting for New Mexicans."
