  Continued income tax cuts to make Arkansas more competitive

  Reduce the number of cabinet-level agencies from over 40 down to 20 or less

  Continue to create jobs and focus on economic development to increase opportunity for all Arkansans

  Build on our successful computer coding education to prepare Arkansas students for the 21st century

  Create a long-term funding stream for our state's infrastructure

  Increase broadband capability to every corner of our state

  Focusing on improving our job skill education to prepare Arkansans for the workforce

  Expand the R.I.S.E.(Reading Initiative for Student Excellence) initiative to get more Arkansas students reading at grade level by third grade

Before being elected Governor, Asa served as Director of the Drug Enforcement Administration and as the first Undersecretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Voters in Arkansas's Third District also elected him to Congress three times.

A graduate of the University of Arkansas law school, Asa, at age 31, was appointed by President Ronald Reagan as the nation's youngest United States Attorney."

Governor Hutchinson and his wife Susan have been married for 44 years. They raised their four children in Arkansas and now have six grandchildren.
