 AZ Secretary of State

Notes:
Sen. John McCain, first elected to the Senate in 1986, won a sixth term, defeating Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick in the general election. The FEC reported disbursements in 2015-16 of $14.8 million for the McCain campaign, which fended off a strong challenge from Kelli Ward in the Aug. 30 primary, and $9.5 million for the Kirkpatrick campaign (>).  Green candidate Gary Swing obtained a credible showing despite running a zero-budget campaign.
