Taking on the Tough Fights
Martha Coakley has spent her entire career fighting for the principles of fairness, equality and opportunity for all. As Governor, Martha's priorities will include:
• Building an economy that works for everyone by raising the minimum wage, championing earned sick time, improving workforce training, supporting entrepreneurship, and attracting good jobs to every region of the Commonwealth.
• Improving our public education system by increasing access to early education, expanding learning time, and bringing down the cost of higher education; and
• Reining in the cost of healthcare while maintaining a high level of access and quality, and working towards providing universal access to high-quality mental health care.

MARTHA'S RECORD
A Berkshire County native, Martha Coakley served as Middlesex District Attorney, and currently serves as the Commonwealth's first female Attorney General.
During her career, Martha:
• Helped keep thousands of Bay Staters in their homes by taking on the big banks;
• Was the only Attorney General in the nation to successfully challenge the Defense of Marriage Act to help ensure equality for everyone;
• Advocated for child protection, supported victims of domestic violence and helped pass a new human trafficking law; and
• Recovered millions of taxpayer dollars by fighting fraud and abuse in our health care and unemployment systems.
