Gettr is the new social media platform that aims to provide an alternative to Twitter.  Gettr is "founded on the principles of free speech, independent thought and rejecting political censorship and 'cancel culture.'"  gettr.com

Kaelan Dorr, senior vice president of marketing and global engagement at Gettr, spoke at CPAC on the first day, Feb. 24, on "the new age of social media."  Meanwhile, Truth Social, the social media company backed by President Trump, launched just days ago on Feb. 21, but did not have a presence at CPAC other than an appearance by CEO Devin Nunes as part of a panel on "Lock Her Up, FOR REAL."

The Japanese Conservative Union (JCU) booth featured monitors and devices with a "virtual CPAC."

JCU advocates for an "American-influenced form of conservatism" and seeks to "deepen friendship between American and Japanese conservatives, and strengthen the U.S.-Japan alliance."  Chairman Hiroaki Jay Aeba was one of several overseas conservative leaders to speak on Saturday.  conservative.or.jp/en/

Trisha Hope, "an AVID Trump supporter," assembled and published a five-volume set containing all of President Trump's tweets (@realDonaldTrump) from to Jan. 20, 2017 to Jan. 8, 2021, when Twitter permanently suspended his account.  justthetweets.com

Jim Lamon, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Arizona, was one of the rare campaigns to have a booth at CPAC.  More than a dozen Republicans are currently running to challenge Sen. Mark Kelly (D); the primary is Aug. 2.  Other leading candidates include Attorney General Mark Brnovich and venture capitalist Blake Masters.  CPAC endorsed Lamon on Dec. 9, 2021.  CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp stated, "Now more than ever, America needs leaders in the Senate committed to preserving individual rights, protecting our borders, and strengthening our economy. We at CPAC are confident that Jim is the right person to help fix these problems. As a successful Arizona businessman, Jim set an example by giving back to his community and working to protect the security of our elections. The Leadership Institute and founder Morton C. Blackwell are institutions in conservative circles:

Among the publications available at the Liberty Counsel booth were "Teachers' Rights on Public School Campuses," "Students Rights on Public School Campuses" and the "Patriot's Handbook of Religious Freedom in Public Schools."
