LULAC Presidential Town Hall

July 11, 2019 at the Wiconsin Center in Milwaukee, WI.

4 CANDIDATES: Castro, O'Rourke, Sanders, Warren.

Background: The town hall was part of the 90th LULAC National Convention and Exposition.
Candidates had two minutes for introductory remarks followed by questions.  Moderator Enrique Acevedo asked several questions (first in Spanish then in English) followed by questions posed by members of the audience.

In addition to the four candidates participating in the town hall, several other candidates attended the convention.  Tulsi Gabbard was slated to "give three speeches at the conference during the Defenders of Freedom Breakfast, an address on the National Stage, and a speech at the Youth and Young Adult Banquet."  Marianne Williamson keynoted a women's luncheon.  LULAC leadership weighed whether it might be possible to include more candidates in the town hall.  However, these four had responded in a timely manner to the invitation.  Fewer candidates allowed attendees and viewers to better get to know the candidates, and the broadcast arrangement limited flexibility to add others.
