2020 New Hampshire Primary—Presidential Campaign Offices

Larger campaigns may open a dozen or more offices around the New Hampshire from Nashua to Berlin, while smaller campaigns have one or two or even none. When there is no office, campaign organizers may often be found working in a cafe. Many larger campaigns have a state headquaters with an undisclosed address where senior staff work. Field offices, where field staff and volunteers work, serve as hubs for activity including phone banking and canvasses as well as debate watch parties, discussions and other events. Selecting an optimal location for a campaign office takes considerable work, the operations director or other responsible staffer weighs considerations such as accessibility to supporters, parking, room for growth, and terms of the lease. A campaign may choose to situate an office in a high visibility location on the main street in the center of the city or town or in a less centrally located but still visible area near or in a shopping mall or supermarket or in a more secluded or nondescript location. Some campaign offices are rather spartan, while others are well decorated with lots of nice artistic touches. Offices can operate for weeks or even months before being formally opened/announced. Opening events may feature the candidate or surrogates. In the closing weeks before the primary, some campaigns will also open GOTV or staging offices.
