On Mar. 5, 2019, Senate Majority Leader Kelvin Atkinson (District 4 - Las Vegas) resigned following charges he had misappropriated campaign funds.  On Mar. 15, the Clark County Commission appointed Marcia Washington. (>)
Twelve of the 13 Democratic Senators are from Clark Co.; the exception is Julia Ratti who represents part of Washoe Co..
