(approved by the full RNC on Feb. 2, 2018)  Ricketts is co-owner of the Chicago Cubs, and son of Joe Ricketts the founder of Ameritrade.  With his wife owns Higher Gear bike shop in Wilmette.  Served as director and CEO of Ending Spending, Inc., a group founded by his father in 2010.  Also of note, on Nov. 30, 2016 President-elect Trump nominated Ricketts to be Deputy Commerce Secretary, but he withdrew from consideration on April 19, 2017.
